**NOTICE TO ALL RESIDENTS**

**Recycling Shed Closure and New Recycling Locations**

Effective November 1, the Town of Stanton’s recycling shed will be permanently closed. We have entered into an agreement with nearby municipalities to allow our residents to bring their recyclables to the following locations:

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we transition to these new recycling locations. Thank you for your continued commitment to recycling and helping to keep our community clean.

What To Recycle:

  • GLASS bottles & jars
  • ALUMINUM, tin & steel cans and lids
  • PLASTICS #1-2 bottles, jugs, jars & food tubs (put plastic caps back on)
  • PAPER, flattened cardboard, newspaper & magazines
  • NO Plastic Bags/Film (gather separately and bring to your local grocery store, Target or Walmart)
  • NO Used Paper Products (can be composted)

Recycling shed is at 1966 145th Street, New Richmond.

Final Drop Off: October 26, 9 AM - 12 PM

 

 

Yearly clean up day on 2nd Saturday in September from 9 am – 1 pm

Watch for costs and items collecting.

 

Items accepted: 

  1. Aluminum Cans:
    • Pop and beer cans

  2. Plastic Bottles:
    • #1 & #2 bottles

  3. Glass Bottles and Jars:
    • Food jars, beer, wine and liquor bottles

  4. Tin Cans:
    • Soup, vegetable, fruit and broth cans; metal caps from bottles, jars and frozen juice

  5. Mixed Paper:
    • Newspaper and all inserts; envelopes; magazines and catalogs; office paper; phone books; paperback books

  6. Cardboard:
    • Clean corrugated cardboard, break down & flatten; Paper grocery bags; cereal, granola bar, cake and other baking boxes; manila envelopes and file folders

 

Preparing your recyclables:

Empty contents of containers; rinse clean and allow to dry.
